Dodgeville, WI— 7/15/24 Coming out on top as #1 in the statewide 2024’s Governor’s Business Plan Competition (IT Category), Scriptive LLC, a new startup from Dodgeville, Wisconsin has shown itself to be a player in the new TechEd space.  The cash and in-kind prizes won from the competition will help the company launch WriteStories in August, its first product to hit the marketplace.

Inspiring Creativity and Writing Skills for Children.

WriteStories, is  a fun, creative online educational platform where children write their own stories to picture books that have the story text removed.  The company saw an enthusiastic response to their initial beta testing of the product.  Children enjoyed seeing the beautiful illustrations and using their creativity to figure out a story to go with the pictures they were seeing.  In the process, they practiced important thinking and writing skills and were able to share their stories with family members when their stories were completed.  Write Stories promotes creativity, enhances writing skills, and provides a  helpful structure for children to learn to write well-developed stories.

“It was a tough competition with almost 150 entries starting with us in Round 1 across the four categories. Although our business plan was strong, I think it was the concept of WriteStories that ultimately carried the day. People love the idea of letting children write their own stories to existing book illustrations. We’ve learned from experience that children do too,”
said Bob Wood, President/CEO at Scriptive.

Nurturing Young Writers Since 2023.

Founded in 2023, Scriptive is helping children learn to be good writers and love to write. WriteStories is currently in beta testing with the official beta launch set for August 2024.
